Scottsboro Man Arrested For Attacking Brother With Machete

According to the Scottsboro Police Department, on February 19, 2020 at approximately 4:19 pm, officers with the Scottsboro Police Department were dispatched to the 700 block of Perry St. in reference to a fight-in-progress call between two brothers.

Officers, detectives, and medical personnel responded to find Bryan Hodges, 55, of Scottsboro with large lacerations to his head. Bryan and his brother, Vaughn Hodges, 44, of Scottsboro were involved in a physical altercation that resulted in Bryan receiving several hits to the head with a machete.

Bryan Hodges was transported to Highlands Medical Center where he was treated for non-life threatening injuries. Vaughn Hodges was arrested and charged with assault 2nd degree. He was later transferred to the Jackson County Jail and held on a $2,500 bond.
