Plainview Lady Bears Area 15, Class 3A Runner Up

The Plainview Lady Bears softball team advances to the Class 3A Regionals next week to play Colbert Heights.

The Bears defeated Geraldine, in a rain delayed game 1. Game 1 started on Wednesday night, but had to be delayed due to thunderstorms. The game picked back up on Thursday at 12:00 noon, with the Bears defeating the Bulldogs 9-1. Next the Bears took on the Pisgah Eagles and lost 6-3. That’s when Kenzie Traylor lead off with a double, followed by a home run from Crimson Wells, allowing the Bears to score 2 runs and move out to a 4-2 lead and the win.

Plainview advanced to the championship game against the Pisgah Eagles, loosing that game 7-2. The Bears clinched the Area 15, Class 3A runner up slot and the chance to advance to the AHSAA Class 3A Regionals next week in Florence, Al.
