News Release from Trooper Curtis Summerville, Troop E Public Information Officer with the ALEA
GADSDEN POST – A two-vehicle crash today, Sept. 3, claimed the life of a Etowah County man. Danny Ray Vasser, 63, of Atalla was killed when the 2001 Harley Davidson motorcycle that he was operating collided with a 2014 Volva tractor trailer. Vasser was pronounced dead at the scene. The driver of the Volvo was not injured. The crash occurred on Alabama 211, one mile north of Gadsden. Nothing further is available as ALEA Troopers continue to investigate.
