Sheriff Shaver Announces Promotions:
On Monday, October 19th, 2020, Sheriff Jeff Shaver promoted four Sheriff’s Office employees.
Sgt. Tony Monroy was promoted to Lieutenant to serve as Chief Investigator
Corrections supervisor Lane Wilson was promoted to Deputy Warden
Deputy Stanley Vinson was promoted to Corporal of Court Security
Deputy Will Bailey was promoted to Corporal in Patrol.
Sheriff Shaver said, “each of these employees work very hard each day and are sincerely dedicated to providing public safety in Cherokee County. We are fortunate to have such a professional staff serving in the Sheriff’s Office.” Chief Deputy Josh Summerford presented each of them with their certificate of promotion and new badges at a promotions ceremony that took place Wednesday morning inside the Cherokee County Commission chambers. Chief Deputy Josh Summerford said, “these four Sheriff’s Office members are well-deserving of their promotion, we are very proud of them and all of our staff at the Sheriff’s Office.”
