Traffic Fatality – Jackson County

According to Alabama State Trooper Public Information Officer Curtis Summerville a single-vehicle crash today, April 22, claimed the life of a Jackson County man. Aaron Wayne West, 28, of Higdon was killed when the 2006 Infinity he was driving struck a horse, left the roadway and overturned. West, who was not using a seatbelt, was ejected and pronounced dead at the scene. The crash occurred at 4:10 a.m. on Jackson County 92 one miles east of Higdon. Alabama State Troopers continue to investigate the crash, and nothing further is available.
