Dawson Phillip Brown, 23 of Stone Mountain Georgia was arrested on September 1 2022 at approximately 5:47PM. According to Rainsville Police Department Investigator, LT Josh Wilson, Brown faxed a forged prescription for a controlled substance to Rainsville Drugs. Rainsville Drugs immediately contacted Rainsville Police Department to report the incident. Rainsville Police Department advised Rainsville Drugs of a plan to apprehend the subject. Rainsville Drugs contacted Brown to advise him his prescription was ready. When Brown showed up, officers with Rainsville Police Department arrested Brown. Brown was charged with Possession of a Controlled Substance (13A-12-212), Illegal Possession of Prescription Drugs (34-23-7), Passing a Forged Instrument (13A-9-7), and Attempting to commit a Controlled Substance Crime (13A-12-203). Dawson Phillip Brown is being held at Dekalb Co Jail on a $10,050 bond.
