Search Continues For Missing Man On Terrapin Creek

Crews are continuing to search for a man that went missing on Terrapin Creek on Thursday night.

At 7:53 p.m. Thursday Cherokee County 911 received a call reporting a missing person on Terrapin Creek. 73 year old JC Garner is described as a white male who is 6’ tall with gray hair, gray beard, and has tattoos.

Garner was last seen around 5:30 p.m. Thursday on the creek on an inner tube. Cherokee EMA, Cherokee County Rescue Squad, Cherokee County Sheriff’s Office, Alabama Marine Police, and Alabama Game & Fish officers are on-scene currently conducting a coordinated search and rescue operation to attempt to locate Garner.

The Alabama Law Enforcement Agency Aviation Unit is also assisting in the search.

If you see Mr. Garner you are asked to call 911 immediately.
