FORT PAYNE, AL. – On Tuesday night, July 16, 2019, around 9:00 pm, officers responded to a domestic disturbance call on Dean Road in Fort Payne, Al. Upon arriving, police officers say a man attempted to use his vehicle as a weapon during the event and at least one officer fired a shot, at some point during the event, and the man was shot. The unidentified man was said to be alert and talking, upon being transported to Dekalb Regional Medical Center and then airlifted to a Chattanooga hospital.
