Press release / Stolen vehicle arrest
On 02/12/23, a 1970 Ford XLT was stolen from inside the Town limits of Ider.
The vehicle was recovered on 02/14/23 and arrest warrants were issued for the suspect Zechariah Clark.
Today, 03/01/23, Mr. Clark was arrested on the warrant for Theft of property 1st, as well as charged with Possession of a Controlled Substance(FENTANYL).
Due to the new charges being pursued through the Dade County Sheriff’s Office, Mr. Clark will be awaiting extradition back to Alabama. I personally want to thank Dade County Sheriff Ray Cross,Detective Payne, and our District Attorney Summer Summerford
for being such a help to our department. It’s truly a team effort.
