Rainsville, Al. – The Dekalb County Board of Education, with the recommendation of Dekalb County Superintendent Jason Barnett, approved Dr. Richard Ruthledge as the new head principal at Plainview High School. Dr. Ruthledge, assistant principal at Crossville High School, will transfer to Plainview for a two-year probationary contract. This contract will be in effect from January 1, 2020 through December 31, 2021. The Plainview High School principal position has been vacant for several months, after former principal Tony Richards retired.
In other business, the board approved early graduation for the following students: Crystal Briggs, Collinsville High School, and Anna Edmondson, Lilliona Morales, and Zoe Jones all of Crossville High School.
