Cherokee County EMA Offers New App

The Cherokee County Emergency Management Agency is pleased to announce that we have officially released our new mobile app.

This is an interactive mobile app designed to assist the citizens and visitors of Cherokee County before, during, and after an emergency or disaster whether natural or manmade.

Director Shawn Rogers said that the app provides various features that strive to help keep the citizens of Cherokee County educated, prepared, and informed on preparedness and protective measures. Such features include: NWS Alerts, Be Prepared, Shelters, School Closing , Road Closings, Damage Reports, County Contacts and more. Although we cannot always predict when emergencies or disasters will occur, every individual, family, business, and community must do their part to ensure they are prepared.

This app would not have been possible without the support of the Cherokee County Commission. The app can be downloaded free of charge on Android and Apple devices by going to the Google Play or App Store and searching Cherokee County EMA.

For Android users, the App will not show up at the top of the search list and you may have to scroll to the bottom of the list to locate it.

Android users, download the new EMA Mobile App by using the link below, there was a typo in the original URL and we are working with Google to get this corrected.
