ALEA Gives Update Of Dadeville Alabama Shooting Investigation

TALLAPOOSA COUNTY – At approximately 11:45 p.m. Saturday, April 15, Special Agents with the Alabama Law Enforcement Agency’s (ALEA) State Bureau of Investigations (SBI) launched a death investigation at the request of the Dadeville Police Chief. The investigation is a result of a shooting which occurred at approximately 10:34 p.m. near the 200 Block of Broadnax Street in Dadeville, located in Tallapoosa County and resulted in four fatalities and 32 individuals injured.

A total of six individuals have been arrested and formally charged with four counts of Reckless Murder each. The arrests include Wilson LaMar Hill Jr., 20, of Auburn, Johnny Letron Brown, 20, of Tuskegee, Willie George Brown Jr., 19, of Auburn, and three juveniles: a 15-year-old, a 16-year-old, and a 17-year-old, all of Tuskegee.

On Wednesday, April 26, Tallapoosa County District Court Judge Clayton Taylor issued a decision denying bond for five of the individuals arrested concerning the Tallapoosa County death investigation. Subsequently, all five individuals will remain in custody. The sixth individual, a 15-year-old juvenile, is currently awaiting another hearing.
