Fort Payne will once again welcome fans of the legendary country music group ALABAMA as the band’s 2026 Fan Appreciation Week returns June 18–21 with several hometown events planned throughout the weekend.

The annual celebration gives fans an opportunity to gather in the place where ALABAMA’s story began, while also supporting local and charitable causes connected to the band and the community.

The week’s first major event will be held Thursday, June 18, with Teddy Gentry’s “Singing with the Stars” Talent Contest at the Fort Payne City Hall Auditorium. The talent contest will benefit the DeKalb County Children’s Advocacy Center. Doors will open at 4:00 p.m., and the show is scheduled to begin at 6:00 p.m. Tickets are $15 in advance or $20 at the door. Those interested in tickets may call (256) 997-9700.

Another highlight of the week will be the June Jam Songwriters Showcase, which is scheduled for both Friday, June 19, and Saturday, June 20, at the Fort Payne City Hall Auditorium. Doors will open at 6:00 p.m. each evening, with the showcases beginning at 7:00 p.m.

The showcases will feature award-winning Nashville songwriters performing hit songs they wrote and sharing the stories behind the music. The scheduled lineup includes Tony Lane, Tim Nichols, Deric Ruttan, Johnny Clawson, Josh Dorr, and Lalo Guzman, with additional songwriters possible. Randy Owen and Teddy Gentry are scheduled to host both nights.

Tickets for each Songwriters Showcase are $100. Seating is reserved only, and tickets are limited. A separate ticket is required for each night. Tickets may be purchased at the ALABAMA Band Fan Club and Museum, located at 101 Glenn Blvd. SW in Fort Payne, during normal business hours while available.
