According to information posted to the Dekalb County Alabama Revenue Commissioners Facebook page, the Rainsville Annex will be closed until the end of the year, due to concerns about COVID-19. Below is the statement posted:
“Due to Covid concerns and a rising number of cases we will have to close the Rainsville Annex for the remainder of 2020. We will reevaluate before January in regard to the Rainsville office for reopening after January 3rd. We apologize for this inconvenience. In an effort to lessen the spread and better serve you we do take payments online and by E Check. We will also have a drop box outside at the Fort Payne office where payments can be left without having to come into the office. As always, mailing in a property tax payment is an option as well. Fort Payne office will remain open from 8:00 am – 4:00 pm as normal for now.”
