Press Release from Fort Payne Police Department
On April 3, 2024, around 4:08pm, Fort Payne 911 received a call of a traffic accident in the 3100 block of Wallace Av NE (AL Hwy 35) involving a vehicle and an ATV. The driver of the ATV, a juvenile male, was transported to Dekalb Regional Medical Center where he later passed away due to the injuries he sustained from the wreck. The accident is currently under investigation by Fort Payne Police Department’s traffic homicide investigators. Currently, no charges are expected.
