The Sylvania High School FFA recently brought home some 1st and 2nd place awards in several competitions recently held at Calhoun Community College.
Cody Turner won 1st place in creed speaking and Alexis Stevens won 1st place in prepared public speaking and was also elected to serve as FFA district treasurer. The FFA welding team, Bailey Bryant, Drake Casey, Dakota Atchley, and Chandler Busby won 2nd place in the district welding competition.
Cody Turner and Alexis Stevens will advance to the district speaking competition in two weeks and then hopefully on to the state competition.
