Plainview Lady Bears Softball defeats the Bulldogs

The Plainview Varsity Lady Bears Softball team (5-1) claimed a big victory over the Geraldine Bulldogs on Wednesday, March 13, 2019. The Bears outscored the Bulldogs 11-1 and easily defeated the Lady Bulldogs.

The Bears started the game in the first inning by scoring 1 run when Crimson Wells singled. Then the Bears scored four additional runs in the 3rd inning. Tessa Word, Tobi Trotter, and Kenzi Traylor each drove in runs during this inning, giving the Bears 4 total runs by the end of the 3rd inning.

Lily Boswell earned the victory pitching for the Lady Bears, allowing only two hits and one run over five innings, striking out six and walking zero.

Plainview tallied two home runs this gameday. Krimson Kidd had a long ball in the first inning and Word had a dinger in the 3rd inning. The Bears racked up 14 hits in the game. Trotter, Traylor, Wells, and Kidd each had multiple hits. Traylor and Trotter each had three hits to lead the Plainview Bears. The Bears also didn’t commit a single error during the game, on their way to the 11-1 victory over the Bulldogs.
