Although we are still four days out, early indications from ” The Storm Prediction Center in Norman, OK.” are showing Severe Weather for Sunday, March 3, 2019, across the South. All of northern and central Alabama, the entire state of Mississippi, parts of Tennessee, Louisiana, and Arkansas are included. Models are indicating all modes of Severe Weather will be possible including large hail, damaging winds, and tornadoes. This area is currently listed with a “Slight Risk” for Sunday. As of now, timing appears to be from around noon into the afternoon and evening hours.
We are four days away and things can and will change before then. Things could weaken, or things could strengthen, as we approach Sunday. Regardless, prepare now, in case Severe Weather does threaten on March 3, 2019. You should plan ahead to have multiple ways to receive watches and warnings (NOAA weather radio, phone app, radio, TV, sign up for My Alerts if your city or county offers it…etc.). We are nearing Spring time and that means Severe Weather Season as well.
