Secondary, Fall, Severe Weather Season Approaching

Although, severe weather can happen during any time of year, there are two distinct peak times of the year we experience severe weather: Spring and Fall. The primary severe weather season across the southeastern part of the United States is Spring time, during the change of seasons, from cold weather to warmer weather. This usually occurs in the months of March, April, and May.

We also experience a secondary severe weather season, across the southeast, when changing from warmer weather to colder weather. This usually occurs during November.

Take the time to prepare now! The National Weather Service offers some great information on how to prepare for severe weather: https://www.weather.gov/hun/severe_awareness?fbclid=IwAR32HYnZMN7xAE2FwqPMeosWKhsck7zUElQzleVMhpQiOls4_tGDu0lV4-I
