RAINSVILLE, AL. — The director of the Northeast Alabama Agri-Business Center, Mike Sweat, officially resigned tonight. The Rainsville City Council held its regular monthly meeting tonight and at the end of regular business a motion was made by Councilman Brandon Freeman to go into executive session, to discuss the good name and character of an employee. When the council reconvened, the council unanimously voted to accept Mr. Sweat’s resignation.

Sports Complex and Farmers Market at a cost of $750.00.

Buy a new computer and software for City Hall at
a cost of $1,248.60

Purchase a new city dump truck at a cost of
$174,670.

J & S Wielding fix a bumper for attaching a
snow plow at a cost of $2,500.00
·
To surplus two Crown Victoria cars.
·
Accept the resignation of Cody Dupree, effective
3-15-2019.
·
Post the animal control job.
·
Donate $500.00 to the D.A.R.E. program
·
Approved a resolution for an annual 1st
responder’s day to be held the third Saturday in May each year. This year will
be May 18th.
