Plainview Bears Softball Takes Second Victory Over Fyffe

Plainview wins contest against Fyffe, 7-2.

Plainview got things moving in the first inning, when Abby Williams grounded out, scoring one run.

Plainview notched three runs in the fifth inning. Plainview ‘s offense in the inning came from a groundout by Mia Tidmore and a double by Williams.

Lily Boswell got the win for Plainview. Boswell surrendered two runs on four hits over six innings, striking out nine and walking zero.

Abigail Ogle took the loss for Fyffe. The bulldog lasted five innings, allowing seven hits and seven runs.

Fyffe smacked two home runs on the day. Riley Jones went for the long ball in the fourth inning. Hatch had a four bagger in the fourth inning.

Plainview scattered eight hits in the game. Williams, Tidmore, and Kadie Brooks each had multiple hits for Plainview. Williams led Plainview with three hits in three at bats. Plainview was sure-handed in the field and didn’t commit a single error. Tidmore had the most chances in the field with nine.

Hatch went 2-for-3 at the plate to lead Fyffe in hits.
