Multiple Charges Filed After Domestic Violence Call In Powell

On 4/16/2023, The Powell Police Department was dispatched to a residence on AL-35 inside the town limits in reference to a civil disturbance. Upon arrival, Assistant Chief Nick Morgan made contact with the victim who had some injuries to her head area. He also made contact with a bloody Vincent Moore of Powell. Mr. Moore was uncooperative and severely intoxicated. Mr. Moore was detained for a Domestic Violence Investigation and placed in the back seat of a patrol car. He began screaming at Assistant Chief Morgan and spit blood in his face. After the investigation, Warrants were obtained and Mr. Moore was charged with Domestic Violence 3rd – Assault, Domestic Violence – Criminal Mischief, Criminal Mischief – (damage to patrol car) – Assault on a Police Officer with Bodily Fluids. He was also served an existing warrant with the Powell Police Department.
