Little River Canyon National Preserve Installs Parking Lot Spikes

Little River Canyon National Preserve has recently installed spike strips at the Little River Falls Parking Area. These spikes are in place to prevent drivers from entering the parking lot incorrectly and to aid rangers in enforcing parking closures when the lot is full or closed for the night.

The spikes will decompress as a vehicle exits the parking lot. However, if you attempt to enter the parking lot through the exit lane or back up over them, severe tire damage will occur.
