GADSDEN POST—A construction project at approximately 9:09 a.m. Thursday, Aug. 14, has cause a lane closure. The southbound lanes on Interstate 59 near the 205 mile-marker, in Dekalb County are currently closed and will be for an undetermined amount of time. The Alabama Department of Transportation (ALDOT) will detour traffic from Interstate 59 to U.S. 11.Troopers with the Alabama Law Enforcement Agency’s (ALEA) Highway Patrol Division continue to monitor the situation and provide updates accordingly.
