HUNTSVILLE POST – A single-vehicle crash at 11:30 p.m. on Thursday Dec. 5, claimed the life of an Ider woman. Shelly L. Terrell Burns, 32, was killed when the 1998 Mitsubishi she was driving left Alabama Hwy 40 at the 2 mile marker, 3 miles east of Scottsboro, struck a ditch and overturned. Burns, who was not using a seat belt and was ejected and pronounced dead at the scene. Nothing further is available as ALEA Troopers continue to investigate.
