From the Office of DeKalb County Sheriff Nick Welden:
FORT PAYNE, Ala. – Three people have been indicted by the Grand Jury on Child Abuse charges. Jeron Wright Maxwell (47 of Sylvania), Rian Andrew Maxwell (21 of Sylvania) and Bethany Ann Whittle (36 of Fort Payne) were all charged with the abuse of a child under 18 years of age which is a Class C Felony under Alabama Code 26-15-3.

DeKalb County Sheriff Nick Welden said of the incident: “All children deserve the right to feel safe and their safety is our number one priority. God entrusts us with His children to love and protect and we will do everything in our power to do that.”
