News release from the Boaz Police Department
There was a police chase earlier this evening that was initiated by State Troopers in Etowah County. As the chase entered Sardis the suspect vehicle entered the southbound lanes of Highway 431 going the wrong way. The suspect vehicle then rammed a Boaz Police unit causing it to become disabled. During this time another Boaz Police unit was struck by the suspect vehicle. As the suspect vehicle entered Boaz the vehicle collided with another Boaz Police Unit disabling it and then ran into a building at Highway 431 and Martin Avenue. All Officers thankfully are okay. The suspect and two passengers were transported to Marshall Medical Center South for treatment.
