We are entering our Fall, or secondary, severe weather season and Monday will be a prime example of the chance for Fall severe weather.
A strong cold front will move through the South on Monday/Monday night, bringing rain, thunderstorms, and the chance for Severe weather. The Storm Prediction Center already has a large area of Alabama and Mississippi in a 15% chance for severe weather on Monday. That is a pretty high chance, given we are still 4 days out.
The main threat looks to be damaging winds, but the system could produce some hail and a few tornadoes. We will update you more, as we get closer to Monday, when models will have a better picture of how things will shape up.
