FORT PAYNE, Ala. — Late Wednesday night (May 1, 2019), Agents with the DeKalb County Drug Task Force acted on a tip from concerned citizens and went to a residence located on 10th Street NW in Fort Payne.
After conducting a search, agents found Marijuana and approximately 14 grams of Methamphetamine. Smoking pipes and other paraphernalia were also found at the residence.
Ladona Moreland (33 of Fort Payne) was charged with Distribution of a Controlled Substance, Possession Marijuana 2nd, and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia.
Another subject at the residence, Brian Buckner (32 of Fort Payne) was arrested on an outstanding warrant for the City of Boaz.
DeKalb County Sheriff Nick Welden said: “We always appreciate the tips from the public, especially when it helps get dangerous drugs off the streets. Our Drug Task Force agents are working hard to handle these tips in a timely manner.”
“If you choose to use or sell drugs in our county, it’s very likely you’ll be paid a visit at some point. We hope and pray that those that do so get the help they need, but If not we’ll bring you in for a stay in our jail,” he said.
