Mrs. Mason received employee of the year at the annual City of Rainsville Christmas breakfast, held this week. The employees vote for the people, then the winner is announced at the annual Christmas breakfast, which was held on December 17, 2021.
Tammy Mason has been with the City of Rainsville for 18 years, this week. Mrs. Mason started with the City of Rainsville in the Revenue and Zoning Department in 2004, and worked in the Sanitation Department as well.
As the City grew more employees were hired to fill positions in those departments and Mrs. Mason then moved to work solely in Rainsville Court.
Mrs. Mason said, “I am extremely grateful for my job and getting to do something that I love. I am thankful to for the opportunity to try and make a difference in others lives in some of their darkest times. Being a Court Clerk is a challenging job at times having to issue warrants and deal with the day to day operations, but sometimes a simple smile goes a long way. I am truly grateful for the opportunity that was given to me when I was hired in 2004. I have worked under three different administrations. Each and every one different in its own way, but each one I have grown, learned valuable lessons and have some form of experience from each administration. There is one thing that has never changed is the fact that I love my job, and I love working for The City of Rainsville. Thank you to my fellow employees, each and every one of you that voted for me. All of our employees work hard and deserve recognition. Thank you for allowing me to serve Rainsville. I look forward to the upcoming years. God Bless!”
