‘Plainview Street now One Way’
Starting immediately, Plainview Street is now a one-way road. Those dropping off children may only enter Plainview Street by way of Garrett Street after 7:20AM and must exit onto Chavies Road. After discussion with Plainview Administration, it is found that car riders are entering drop off areas well before school opens, not allowing school busses room to enter and exit. This is a safety concern for students on busses as well as those in car drop off lines. Police will heavily patrol the area until the routine is established, which may take a week or two. Rainsville Police Department, in its partnership with Dekalb Co EMA, is providing electronic signs giving directions.
