FORT PAYNE, Ala. – The DeKalb County Sheriff’s Office is providing an update regarding the recent internal investigation at the DeKalb County Jail.
Corrections Lt. Evan Blayne Wilborn (38 of Rainsville) was arrested and charged with Voyeurism 1st (x6). Wilborn was transported and held in Cherokee County Jail, per DCSO policy.

The investigation remains active and ongoing. Additional charges and arrests may be pending as the DeKalb County Major Crimes Unit, in coordination with the DeKalb County Districts Attorney’s Office, continues to pursue this case.
Further information will be released as the investigation allows.
We also, recognize concerns regarding names and records; the inmate roster has been down due to a large system update, which has temporarily affected access. We are working to resolve this issue as quickly as possible.
