GADSDEN POST – A single-vehicle crash that occurred at approximately 5:55 p.m. Sunday, April 13, has claimed the life of a Henagar woman. Christina T. Powell, 21, was fatally injured when the 2023 Kawasaki Z400 motorcycle she was operating left the roadway and struck several trees. Powell was thrown from the motorcycle and was pronounced deceased at the scene.
The crash occurred on Alabama 35 near the 12 mile marker, approximately six miles north of Gaylesville, in Cherokee County. Nothing further is available as Troopers with the Alabama Law Enforcement Agency’s (ALEA) Highway Patrol Division continue to investigate.
