Precipitation will spread West to East the remainder of the afternoon into tonight, with bulk of it ending in the Winter Warning/advisory areas between 4-8 am. A few snow flurries or snow showers could occur in far Northern Alabama into Thursday afternoon adding up to an additional 1/2″ of snow.
The National Weather Service in Huntsville, Al. has added Cullman County, Al. to the Winter Weather Advisory, which is in effect from 6 PM tonight until 6 AM Thursday. Snow totals have been increased for the following areas:Northeast AL & Southern Middle TN: 3-5 inches possible, North Central AL: 2-4 inches possible.
Travel conditions will likely become hazardous, especially in Northwest Alabama and Southern Middle TN., where roads may become impassable at times.
