Today Alabama Governor Kay Ivey announced that the USDA has approved the Alabama State Department of Education’s Child Nutrition Programs waiver request.
“Great news, Alabama! The USDA has approved the Alabama State Department of Education’s Child Nutrition Programs waiver request. This will allow food authorities and community organizations, in good standing, to operate in non-area eligible locations to provide children safe, nutritious meals during the #COVID19 emergency school closures.”
