FORT PAYNE, Ala. – In recent weeks, the Dekalb County Drugs and Major Crimes Unit has assisted in the arrest of two fugitives wanted by the United States Marshal Service living in Dekalb County.
On Thursday, December 18th, 2025, The Dekalb County Drugs and Major Crimes Unit went to an address on County Road 764 in Henagar to assist Deputy US Marshals in the apprehension of KYLE WYATT MARTIN (20 of Henagar). MARTIN was wanted by the USMS for a Robbery 1st warrant out of Calhoun County, Alabama and also had multiple felony warrants with the Dekalb County Sheriff’s Office. Upon arrival at MARTIN’S address, he fled from the residence and was apprehended after a short foot pursuit. MARTIN was charged with Attempt to Elude and Resisting Arrest on scene, as well as warrants for Possession with Intent to Distribute, Unlawful Possession of Marijuana 1st, Unlawful Possession of Controlled Substance, and Unlawful Possession of Drug Paraphernalia. MARTIN will be extradited to Calhoun County, Alabama upon the satisfaction of his charges in Dekalb County.

On Thursday, January 8th, 2026, The Dekalb County Drugs and Major Crimes Unit went to an address on Robin Hood Circle in Fyffe along with Deputy US Marshals in an attempt to locate JONATHAN JOHNSON, (25 of Cleveland TN). JOHNSON is a convicted sex offender and had an active warrant out of Bradley County Tennessee for SORNA violation. Upon arrival, it was determined that JOHNSON was inside the residence and was refusing to exit the residence. Dekalb County SRT was mobilized and responded to the residence. After attempting to call JOHNSON out of the residence, SRT members entered the residence and took JOHNSON into custody. JOHNSON was charged with Fugitive from Justice and is currently incarcerated in the Dekalb County Detention Center awaiting extradition to Bradley County, TN.
