Fort Payne Police Report: January 5–8, 2026

Fort Payne, AL – January 9, 2025 – The Fort Payne Police Department released its activity report for the period of Monday, January 5 through Thursday, January 8, 2026, detailing arrests, accidents, and property incidents in the city.

Monday, January 5
Police made one arrest early Monday morning when Julio Cesar Gamez Martinez, 33, of Fort Payne, was taken into custody at 3:25 a.m. for domestic violence and interference with a domestic violence emergency call. Two minor traffic accidents were also reported, with no injuries.

Tuesday, January 6
The department recorded four arrests on Tuesday:

Harold Wesley Thompson, 51, of Fort Payne, was arrested at 6:35 a.m. for possession of drug paraphernalia.

Breyona Dawn Evans, 30, of Fyffe, was arrested at 7:28 a.m. for possession of drug paraphernalia and an outstanding warrant from another agency.

Joshua Duane Allen, 31, of Fort Payne, was arrested at 12:52 p.m. for assault and menacing.

David Aubrey Brown, 33, of Auburn, was arrested at 8:41 p.m. for driving under the influence of a controlled substance.

Additionally, two traffic accidents occurred without reported injuries.

Wednesday, January 7
Three arrests were reported on Wednesday:

Steven Ray Lee Jr, 28, of Dutton, was arrested at 11:02 a.m. for possession of marijuana.

David Aubrey Brown, 33, of Auburn, was again arrested at 10:45 p.m. for driving under the influence of a controlled substance.

Tina Michelle Rich, 40, of Menlo, Georgia, was arrested at 10:32 p.m. on two warrants for failure to appear.

Four accidents were reported with no injuries.

Thursday, January 8
Thursday saw several property incidents and arrests:

A theft occurred at 400 3rd Street SE, where a barricade valued at $300 was taken.

Damaged property was reported at 100 Dekalb Plaza Blvd SW, where the oil pan of a 2020 Honda Odyssey was damaged, also valued at $300.

Five arrests were made:

Julio Cesar Gamez Martinez, 33, of Fort Payne, was arrested at 4:05 a.m. on two warrants for failure to appear.

Crena Michelle Black, 22, and Braxton Lee Black, 25, both of Fort Payne, were arrested at 2:04 p.m. for theft of property.

Ricky James Scott, 26, of Fort Payne, was arrested at 4:31 p.m. on an outside agency warrant.

Jamie Wayne Porter, 54, of Grove Oak, was arrested at 8:12 p.m. for possession of marijuana and drug paraphernalia.

Two traffic accidents were reported, including one with an injury. At the intersection of 3rd Street SE and Turner Ave SE, Tanya Cheri Hall, 52, of Fort Payne, driving a 2013 Tahoe, struck Leann Elizabeth Tyler, 34, of Fort Payne, driving a Chevrolet Camaro. A passenger in the Camaro, Joseph R. Norfleet, 29, of Fort Payne, was transported to Dekalb Regional by Dekalb Ambulance Service.
