The Fort Payne City Council met, in their regular meeting, today and approved three resolutions. The first resolution was 2019 – 28, a resolution in support of the 2019 U.S. Census, the second resolution was 2019 – 29, a resolution to create a City of Fort Payne Complete Count Committee. This committee would be mainly a publicity committee and would help publize and promote the U.S. Census. The third resolution approved was a tax abatement resolution for G.H. Metal Solutions. They are doing an equipment expansion in the amount of $3,000,000. This expansion would not add any additional jobs, but would help to improve their efficiency.
