During the month of June, 13 were arrested on drug related charges

FORT PAYNE, Ala. – We are halfway through 2024 and so far, we have seized 6,714 grams of methamphetamine, 8,225 grams marijuana, 24 grams heroin, 7 grams cocaine, 36 grams synthetic marijuana, and 202 grams fentanyl.  Thanks to Crossville, Henagar, Fyffe and Collinsville PD’s, DeKalb County Deputies, Narcotics Agents and Criminal Investigations Unit and ADETF Region F for all the help during the month of June.  We surely couldn’t do this job without all the help and backup from all agencies in this county and the surrounding counties.

On Thursday, June 6th, Crossville PD responded to a domestic violence call to a residence on Hwy 68 in Crossville.  Upon arrival, Officers with Crossville made contact with Joseph Daniel Lee Hill (40 of Crossville).  During the arrest, Hill was found in possession of methamphetamine and drug paraphernalia.  Hill was charged with Unlawful Possession of Controlled Substance, Unlawful Possession of Drug Paraphernalia and Domestic Violence 3rd.

On Friday, June 7th, DeKalb County Deputies conducted a traffic stop on I-59 finding the driver to be in possession of methamphetamine and drug paraphernalia.  James Shawn Reid (57 of Sylvania) was charged with Unlawful Possession of Controlled Substance and Unlawful Possession of Drug Paraphernalia.

Also, on Friday, Narcotics Agents conducted a search warrant at a residence around the I-59 Flea Market.  During the search, around 17 grams of methamphetamine was located, as well as marijuana and drug paraphernalia.  Hope Lynn Shafer (38 of Valley Head) was charged with Unlawful Possession with Intent to Distribute (controlled substance), Unlawful Possession of Marijuana 2nd and Unlawful Possession of Drug Paraphernalia

On Wednesday, June 12th, Narcotics Agents, along with ADETF Region F executed a search warrant in the Dawson area finding 240 grams of methamphetamine, as well as drug paraphernalia.  Juan Bernardo Campos-Infante (27 of Crossville) was charged with Trafficking in any Illegal Drug (x2) and 1 warrant for Failure to Appear.

Also, on Wednesday, Narcotics Agents, along with ADETF Region F and Criminal Investigation conducted a search warrant on County Road 386 in Kilpatrick finding a half pound of methamphetamine.  Candy Suhey Hernandez (41 of Albertville) was charged with Trafficking in any Illegal Drug and Unlawful Possession of Drug Paraphernalia.

On Friday, June 14th, Henagar PD responded to a call of someone passed out in a vehicle near Wright Road.  After Henagar Officers got Caleb Logan Sewell (32 of Chattanooga, Tn) awake they found him to be in possession of marijuana, mushrooms and drug paraphernalia. Sewell was charged with Receiving Stolen Property 2nd, Unlawful Possession of Controlled Substance, Unlawful Possession of Drug Paraphernalia and Unlawful Possession of Marijuana 2nd.

On Sunday, June 16th, while processing Katy Michelle Landress (37 of Fort Payne) DeKalb County Corrections Officers found methamphetamine, marijuana and drug paraphernalia in her property.  Landress was charged with Unlawful Possession of Controlled Substance, Unlawful Possession of Drug Paraphernalia and Unlawful Possession of Marijuana 2nd.

On Monday, June 17th, an Officer with Fyffe PD conducted a traffic stop on County Road 50 near County Road 446 in Fyffe finding that Christy Dawn Garmon (46 of Crossville) had active warrants with DCSO.  During a search, methamphetamine and drug paraphernalia were found.  Garmon was charged with Unlawful Possession of Controlled Substance (x2), Unlawful Possession of Drug Paraphernalia (x2) and 2 warrants for Failure to Appear.

Again, on Monday, Narcotics agents went to a residence on County Road 169.  While there, agents found Isaac Blake Wright (24 of Higdon) to be in possession of Fentanyl.  Wright was charged with Unlawful Possession of Controlled Substance and Unlawful Possession of Drug Paraphernalia.

On Monday, June 24th, DeKalb County Deputies went to a residence on County Road 50 to execute a warrant.  During the arrest of Timothy Harold Hosch (53 of Grove Oak) marijuana and a marijuana plant were found in the residence.  Hosch was charged with Unlawful Possession of Marijuana 21st, Unlawful Possession of Controlled Substance, Unlawful Possession of Drug Paraphernalia and 4 warrants for Failure to Appear.

On Thursday, June 27th, Narcotics Agents conducted a traffic stop on County Road 155 finding methamphetamine within the vehicle.  Marty Ritch Workman (53 of Bryant) was charged with Unlawful Possession of Controlled Substance (x2), Unlawful Possession of Drug Paraphernalia (x2) and 1 warrant for Failure to Appear.  James Stacey Workman (49 of Higdon) was charged with Unlawful Possession of Controlled Substance and Unlawful Possession of Drug Paraphernalia.

On Friday, June 28th, Collinsville PD officers responded to a vehicle that had ran into a ditch on Hwy 11, near County Road 851.  During a search, methamphetamine and drug paraphernalia were found inside the vehicle.  Daniel Nathan Gouse (46 of Fort Payne) was charged with Unlawful Possession of Controlled Substance and Unlawful Possession of Drug Paraphernalia.
