From the National Weather Service in Huntsville, Al. “With the lack of rainfall & hot temps a majority of the TN Valley is experiencing drought conditions.” As you can see by the above map, a large area of Alabama and Tennessee are experiencing drought conditions. In the State of Alabama, the Alabama Forestry Commission has issued a Fire Danger Advisory for all 67 Alabama counties effective immediately until rainfall is received.
At this time, there is no significant rainfall in the immediate forecast. So, these dry and drought conditions may remain with us for some time. Please remember the following:
