The clashing of the airmasses will bring Severe Weather to the South again next week, beginning Monday, December 12th through Wednesday, December 14th. So, get prepared for the possibility of Damaging Winds, Hail, and Tornadoes across the South next week.
Beginning on Monday, December 12, 2022, The Storm Prediction Center already has a 15% outlined area, that is six days in advance. Monday’s Severe threat will cover parts of eastern Texas, Oklahoma, and Arkansas. This is the preliminary area. Since we are six days out, this area is very likely to change, as we get closer.
Tuesday, December 13, 2022, the Severe threat shifts to the east and will include eastern Texas, Arkansas, Louisiana, and Mississippi.
Wednesday, December 14, 2022, The Storm Prediction Center does not have an outline yet for this day, but the Severe threat is expected to shift eastward again and include parts of Mississippi, Tennessee, and Alabama. (Note: No outlined area is available yet for Wednesday, December 14, 2022)
Again, these are not exact areas, since we are so far out. Just be mindful, that there will be a threat of Severe weather next week, Monday – Wednesday, across the South.
With the current setup that models are showing, this could be a “Significant Severe Weather Event”. So, start planning now, if you live in or near these areas.
