GOP Secures Senate Majority and House Majority Remains Strong
Yesterday was a great day for the Republican Party across the Nation, as President-elect Donald Trump reclaimed the White House, the GOP secured a Senate majority, and House Republicans look likely to hold a majority.
ALGOP Chairman John Wahl was with President Trump in Palm Beach last night and issued the following statement on the election result:
“November 5th was a historic day for our nation. The people of America spoke clearly, and they have decidedly rejected the radical policies of the Democrat Party and the narrative of the mainstream media. This victory reflects the trust that the American people have in the Republican Party and President Trump to protect our freedoms, secure our borders, and put America first again.
“I want to personally congratulate Donald Trump on this remarkable victory. After enduring eight long years of relentless, unfounded attacks and unfair portrayals, this win is especially deserved. It’s not just a triumph for President Trump but it sends a powerful message that the American people saw through the lies and injustice, and that they will not tolerate for the weaponization of our justice system.
“I would like to thank every voter, volunteer, and supporter in Alabama who stood by President Trump and showed up to cast their votes. I want to especially thank our volunteers who traveled to key battleground states to help make this victory possible. I am proud that Alabama led the nation when it came to helping in swing states. Our volunteers engaged with over 100,000 voters doing door to door in Georgia and North Carolina, they made phone calls, wrote post cards, and over 200 were poll watchers on election day. Together, we are making our voices heard loud and clear: Alabama stands with President Trump, and we are fighting for the future of our country”
