HUNTSVILLE — The Alabama Department of Transportation advises motorists that work will begin soon
on a $13.8 million project to replace the Alabama 75 bridge over Town Creek in Lakeview in DeKalb
County.
Few impacts to traffic are anticipated because the new bridge will be constructed alongside the existing
bridge, which will remain open to traffic during construction. After the new bridge is completed, the old
bridge will be demolished. The project is anticipated to be complete in mid- to late 2025.
Contractor Miller and Miller anticipates installation of work zone signs Thursday, Oct. 19, with work to
construct accesses to drilling areas for the bridge foundations beginning next week, if weather permits
