RAINSVILLE, Al. — The City of Rainsville, and most cities and towns in DeKalb Count, Al., will hold a municipal elections on Tuesday, August 26, 2025, to elect a Mayor and five (5) City Council Members.
The election for Rainsville will take place at the DeKalb County Schools Coliseum, located at 1504 Main Street East. Polling hours will be from 7:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m. on election day.

If you are interested in running for council or mayor in your town or city, contact your local city hall to qualify.
Residents interested in running for office in Rainsville can begin the candidate qualifying process starting today, Tuesday, June 10, through Tuesday, June 24. For those qualifying for the City of Rainsville, qualifying will take place at Rainsville City Hall, located at 70 McCurdy Avenue South, during regular business hours from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.
Candidates for the City of Fort Payne, may qualify for the elections beginning June 10th and ending June 24th at 5:00 p.m. at City Hall, 100 Alabama Avenue North.
City officials encourage eligible residents to participate in the upcoming election, either by running for office or casting their vote, to help shape the leadership and direction of Rainsville.
