12 arrests made on drug related charges during month of November

FORT PAYNE, Ala. – In November, there were 12 individuals arrested on drug related charges.  We would like to thank the DeKalb County Deputies, Narcotic Agents, K-9 Unit and Corrections Officers, Crossville and Collinsville PD’s and Marshall County Drug Unit for the help they provide daily.  Thank you all for all that you do in helping keep this poison out of the hands of our children and loved ones.

On Friday, November 1st, DeKalb County Deputies responded to a call at County Road 97 and County Road 27 finding Horace Lamar Whittaker (48 of Gadsden) to be under the influence.  While being booked into the Detention Center, Whittaker was found to be in possession of synthetic marijuana.  Whittaker was charged with DUI (controlled substance), Unlawful Possession of Controlled Substance, Unlawful Possession of Drug Paraphernalia and Promote Prison Contraband 2nd.

Also, on Friday, Tabitha Gayle Landman (45 of Altoona) was brought in on 2 warrants for Failure to Appear.  While being booked into the Detention Center, she was found to be in possession of methamphetamine which resulted in more charges.  Landman was charged with Unlawful Possession of Controlled Substance, Promote Prison Contraband 2nd an Unlawful Possession of Drug Paraphernalia.

On Saturday, November 2nd, Officers with Crossville PD arrested Stacey Burt Crow (55 of Albertville) for Disorderly Conduct.  After dropping her off at the Detention Center, Officers did a routine check of the rear transport seat, as is required, finding methamphetamine.  Crow was charged with Disorderly Conduct, Unlawful Possession of Drug Paraphernalia and Unlawful Possession of Controlled Substance.

Also, on Saturday, Officers with Collinsville PD conducted a traffic stop on Hwy 68 finding the driver to be in possession of fentanyl.  Justin Elliott Stott (29 of Pelham) was charged with Unlawful Possession of Controlled Substance and Unlawful Possession of Drug Paraphernalia.

On Wednesday, November 6th, DeKalb County Deputies went to a residence on Al Hwy 68 in Crossville after receiving a call from 911 that an individual at the residence was calling making threats.  Upon arrival, Deputies made contact with Joseph Daniel Lee Hill (40 of Crossville) and noticed that he was under the influence of an unknown substance.  During the arrest, Hill was found to be in possession of methamphetamine.  Hill was charged with Unlawful Possession of Controlled Substance, Unlawful Possession of Drug Paraphernalia, Making Terroristic Threats 2nd, Resisting Arrest and Public Intoxication.

On Thursday, November 7th, DeKalb County Narcotics Unit, with the help of Marshall County Drug Unit conducted a search warrant on county Road 359 in the Crossville/Geraldine area.  Methamphetamine and Drug Paraphernalia were found inside the residence.  Eleydi Ortega Gonzalez (32 of Crossville) was charged with Unlawful Possession of Controlled Substance, Unlawful Possession of Drug Paraphernalia and Distribution (controlled substance).

On Tuesday, November 12th, Officers with Collinsville PD stopped a vehicle for an expired tag.  Methamphetamine was found during a search of the vehicle.  Brandon Tyler Cobb (25 of Collinsville) and Mable Marie Pangle (24 of Leesburg) were both charged with Unlawful Possession of Controlled Substance and Unlawful Possession of Drug Paraphernalia.

On Wednesday, November 13th, Narcotics Agents conducted a traffic stop on County Road 169.  During the stop, a K-9 Deputy stopped to assist with the K-9 indicating a positive alert on the driver’s door.  A bag with fentanyl residue was found in the vehicle.  Charles Kenneth Haggard (59 of Higdon) was charged with Unlawful Possession of Drug paraphernalia.  Heather Celeste Murray (27 of Flat Rock) was charged with Unlawful Possession of Drug Paraphernalia, Unlawful Possession of Controlled Substance and Promote Prison Contraband 2nd.  During the booking in process, Corrections Officers found Murray in possession of fentanyl which resulted in more charges.

On Friday, November 29th, DeKalb County Deputies conducted a traffic stop on Hwy 11 and County Road 85 finding methamphetamine and drug paraphernalia in the vehicle.  Randy Lamar Crawford (51 of Collinsville) was charged with Unlawful Possession of Controlled Substance and Unlawful Possession of Drug Paraphernalia.

On Saturday, November 30th, DeKalb County Deputies arrested Derick Nash Farmer (27 of Powell) on outstanding warrants.  During the booking in process, Corrections Officers found Farmer to be in possession of methamphetamine.  Farmer was charged with Unlawful Possession of Controlled Substance, Unlawful Possession of Drug Paraphernalia, Promote Prison Contraband 2nd and Violation of Release Order (x6).
