A spokesperson with the Jackson County Sheriff’s office confirmed today that the missing teenager and vehicle have not been found at Bucks Pocket State Park. On February 22, 2019, emergency services were notified of an incident at Bucks Pocket involving a vehicle being swept from the park roadway, at the spillway bridge in the bottom of the canyon. Two people were rescued that night, while a third person and the vehicle remain missing. Search and rescue crews have been on scene searching, but have been hampered in their efforts, due to swift water currents and high water levels. The recovery has currently been halted, until further notice, due to additional rainfall and rising water levels.
