The Marshall County Sheriff’s Office would like to notify the public of a scam that has started up once again. A person identifying himself as Deputy Sheriff Mark Andrew is placing calls asking people to wire money to avoid being arrested on old warrants. This subject is instructing the victims to make the transfers through Dollar Generals and Walmart’s.
Please note, a real law enforcement officer will never contact you requesting monetary wire transfers. If you receive one of these calls simply hang up and notify our office at 256-582-2034.
