Rainsville Polce Department has arrested 26 people in the first 7 days of May, some of the most notable ones are as follows. Chief Edmondson wanted to reiterate that drug possession will not be tolerated in the city of Rainsville. And That he is very proud of the officers who have made so many arrests the last few days showing the dedication they have to the City of Rainsville.
TONY RAY SARGENT
Tony Sargent was arrested on 5/5/21 for the Charges of Burglary 1st Degree and Criminal Mischief 3rd Degree. On 4/15/2021 an unknown individual broke into a residence on Woodridge Circle in Rainsville and Physically Assaulted the person living there. After an investigation into the break in warrants were issued for Tony Ray Sargent and he was arrested on 5/5/2021 at his residence on Woodridge Circle.
DARRELL DAVIS
On 5/1/2021 Darrell Davis, Marissa Davis-Monney, and Charles Matchen were arrested on a search of their vehicle after a traffic stop in Rainsville. Davis was charged with 2 counts of Possession of a Controlled Substance and 1 count of Possession of Drug Paraphernalia.
MARRISSA DAVIS-MOONEY
On 5/1/2021 Darrell Davis, Marissa Davis-Monney, and Charles Matchen were arrested on a search of their vehicle after a traffic stop in Rainsville. Davis-Mooney was charged with 3 counts of Possession of Controlled Substance, 1 count of Promoting Prison Contraband (bringing drugs into the jail), and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia.
Charles Edward Matchen
On 5/1/2021 Darrell Davis, Marissa Davis-Monney, and Charles Matchen were arrested on a search of their vehicle after a traffic stop in Rainsville. Matchen was charged with Tampering with Physical Evidence, 2 counts of Possession of Controlled Substance, and 1 count of Possession of Drug Paraphernalia.

On 5/6/2021 at approximately 10:30 AM Officers from Rainsville Police Department served a search warrant at a residence on Sand Mountain Drive in Rainsville. Arrested at the residence was Kathy Chastain, Kendra Lynn, and Nita Bowlen. All three were charged with 4 counts of Possession of a Controlled Substance, Possession of Marijuana, and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia. This case is still being investigated and more charges are pending.
KENDRA FAYE LYNN
On 5/6/2021 at approximately 10:30 AM Officers from Rainsville Police Department served a search warrant at a residence on Sand Mountain Drive in Rainsville. Arrested at the residence was Kathy Chastain, Kendra Lynn, and Nita Bowlen. All three were charged with 4 counts of Possession of a Controlled Substance, Possession of Marijuana, and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia. This case is still being investigated and more charges are pending.
NITA CORINNE BOWLEN

Marcus Maddox
Marcus Maddox was arrested on 5/4/2021 after a tip of him having warrants was called into the Rainsville Police Department. Once making contact with Maddox, he was found to be in possession of Spice. Maddox was charged with Drug Trafficking, and arrested on warrants with the US Marshall Service.
